It happens to the best of us. Skin dries out, acne and blackheads appear, the sun leaves ugly burns, and even the dreaded wrinkles emerge. Luckily, the Health and Style Institute is here to help.

Acne and Oil

Oily skin can lead to embarrassing break out.  But with some simple maintenance, you’ll have skin you can be proud of in no time!

One unexpected problem is over-washing, especially with bar soap.  Trying to clean too much results either in soap residue staying on your skin and adding oil or completely taking all oil off your skin, leaving you dry and flaky.

Sun Dangers

The sun not only causes burns, it also ages your skin well beyond your years.  Why look 50 when you’re only 30?  Instead, do some preventative maintenance to let you face the sun without fear.

Sunscreen isn’t just for beaches anymore.  Every day, in any type of weather, apply a coat to your face.  Even when it’s cold and cloudy, UV radiation will find its way to you.  There are now sunscreen sticks designed specifically for your face so you won’t feel oily or have to deal with the unpleasant smell.

The last thing you want on a first date is spending time convincing that special someone that you’re really not “that” old.  Sun spots and wrinkles do not lead to fun conversations.
