Spring Fever on Your Tips and Toes

shutterstock_205517998The weather’s warming and with that, off come the gloves, and out come open-toed shoes and sandals. And all over the spring runways and current magazines, we’re seeing more subtle nails . Some of springs big nail trends include:

Whites & Neutrals
White nails make your hands look elegant and modern. And white needn’t be boring; from super opaque and semi-sheer to shimmer, there are tons of finishes and variations you’ll find a flattering white no matter your skin tone.

Taupe polishes are a dream come true. They seldom go out of style, go with everything you’re wearing (makeup, bag, outfit), and when they chip, it’s much less noticeable.

Melons
Coral has long been a favorite during spring and summer, but this year we’re seeing softer melons, less in your face shades. Control how much the color to pops with the various finishes, muted, sheer, and opaque.

Greens and Blues
Out with the rich emerald, in with the seafoam green. Similar to mint, there’s more of a blue undertone which gives it a bit of an unexpected twist and a fresher take on pale green nails.

When blues are really muted, they become almost neutral. The right pale blue goes with just about anything, yet makes your nails really pop. If full-on white feels too stark, this is your next best thing.

Pastels
Pastels are big, from refreshing and delicate pastel pinks, lilacs with a dusty-grey undertone, to a buttery pale yellow. Pastels are great for providing a nice subtle burst of color.
